Bruxelles is much messier than I remembered. Its urban planning is essentially non-existent as the city seems designed by some pervert mind (probably in good part King Leopold’s). It struck me with the immensity of some buildings and statues, like the Court of Justice (bigger than the Vatican, I was told) and the Jubilee Park (statues here are pretty big too). It is also sunnier than I expected, but this is mostly by chance and probably only for these two days. I am living a very multicultural neighbourhood in a pretty cosy studio. Tonight I should go out to watch the football match, I just hope I won’t get lost in these bloody confusing streets.
