La filosofía viajera de culo inquieto

by Lorenzo Piccoli

I did not know Jabier Ruiz Oria until I sat down for a beer in Bilbao and read the local newspaper. There was an article talking about this guy and his “filosofía viajera de culo inquieto”, the “philosophy of the restless ass”.

I recognize myself in this approach to life, and travels, that was in turn mutuated by Mark Twain’s philosophy. I love to travel independently, and often alone. I am proud of that. I know several people who never made a single trip alone by themselves in their entire life. They do not know what they’re loosing.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
